A Summary of Different AI Policies and Strategies in Different Countries
The AI industry needs solid AI Policies and Strategies in the near future…
Many countries with the leading economy are interested in continuing their economy and power. Hence, such countries give prominence to the AI industry since it is considered the root of the fourth industrial revolution. Countries like the USA, China, Russia, India, Australia, Singapore, South Korea, Japan etc., have put forward their AI policies and strategies in order to achieve and maintain their economy, power and status.
There are Global AI Policy Strategies introduced by countries and unions like European Commission, G20 and OECD. The European Commission emphasizes three key areas: collaboration across European Union (EU) members, the promotion of shared values, and the development of ethical guidelines and best practices. The European Commission (EC) adopted the Communication on Artificial Intelligence, a 20-page policy document that lays out its approach to AI. Through this, the EC aims to increase the EU’s technological and industrial capacity and AI uptake by the public and private sectors, prepare Europeans for the socioeconomic changes brought about by AI and Ensure that an appropriate ethical and legal framework is in place.[1]
