When I want to install something in windows, you always route to the above prompt. However, there is no way to type the password (and I don’t have one), and the ‘yes’ is also greyed out. I think your default user account changed from the administrator account to another user account. So you want to change your user account safely without rebooting your computer. Otherwise, all the programs and data will be gone, and you’ll be in trouble. I show how I solved this problem by following the steps below. So I recommend this as the best solution because I have also seen this solution in other resources. So let’s go step by step.

The 1st step will restart your PC, so you should open this article on another device.

Step 01

  • open settings
  • select update & security
  • then select Recovery in the left pane
  • in the right pane, click on Restart now button in Advanced startup section
